Itinerary
Day 1: SINGAPORE - CAIRO
Your vacation starts with a pleasant flight to Cairo – the capital city of Egypt and the largest city in Africa. Upon arrival our representative will meet you at the airport and depart for the Western Desert oasis town of Bahariya.

Day 2: BAHARIYA – WESTERN DESERT – BAHARIYA
Embark on a 4-wheel drive to visit the everchanging landscape of the Western Desert. From fine sands to black basalt stone to white chalk sculptures, this is the stunning Western Desert! The Black Desert is a charcoal-coloured basalt canyons and cliffs created by the extinct volcanoes and lava flows. Stop off to see the quartz crystal at Crystal Mountain. Proceed to explore the White Desert area, a spectacular region of wind-eroded limestone formations.

Day 3: BAHARIYA – CAIRO
Visit the Tomb of Bannentiu – a lavish tomb of a rich merchant in the time of Nebuchadnezzar. Next proceed to Valley of the Golden Mummies Museum, one of the most spectacular Egyptian archeological discovery. Also visit the Temple of Alexander the Great, the only one in Egypt that was built for a living pharaoh at that time.

Day 4: CAIRO – ASWAN
Our exciting tour includes a visit to the world’s famous museum – the Egyptian Museum. Learn the history and see the antiquities of some of the great pharaohs. Next, we proceed to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Great Pyramids of Giza. About 350m from the Cheops’ pyramid stand the Great Sphinx (father of terror). This gigantic statue represents a lion with a human head, which was said to be a likeness of Chephren standing guard over his tomb. Onboard an overnight train from Cairo to Aswan.

Day 5: ASWAN
Proceed for a tour of the Aswan High Dam, completed in1971 by the Russians to provide hydro-electric power and electrical supply to the rest of the country. Next, we visit the Granite Quarries – The Unfinished Obelisk, where it was used to build the pyramids and temples for ancient Egypt. Set sail on a Felucca (or motor-boat), to the island of Egelika where the Temple of Philae stands today. During the construction of the old dam in 1904, the temple was submerged into the flooded river for sometime. With the help of UNESCO the temples were dismantled and reconstructed on this island. Upon completion of the sightseeing tour, proceed to your cruise for the night.*If time permits, you may have an opportunity to visit Abu Simbel, and the famous Temples of Rameses II (own expense).

Day 6: ASWAN - KOM OMBO - EDFU
Kom Ombo, a prosperous agricultural and industrial city owes its fame to the remarkable Temple dedicated to two Gods: Sobek (the Crocodile God) and Haroeris. Built during the reign of the Ptoloemies, it is situated on the bank of the Nile where crocodiles used to sun themselves. Visit the astonishingly well-preserved mesmeric Temple of Horus, dedicated to the Falcon God. On guard at the entrance are 2 very beautiful black granite statues depicting Horus in the form of falcon.

Day 7: EDFU - ESNA - LUXOR
Today, enjoy a full day of sightseeing as we cross the West Bank and visit the tombs of the Valleys of the King and Queen Hatshepsut Temple. On our way to the cruise, stop by the site of the temple of Amon-Ofis III to see the Colossi of Memnon.

Day 8: LUXOR
After breakfast, proceed to tour the Temple of Luxor, built during the Rein of Amenhotep II. The most significant contribution to the temple were done by the Pharoah Ramses II, among which are six looming statues of himself guarding the entrance. Next, visit the Karnak Temple and be overwhelmed by its intricacy and proportions.

Day 9: LUXOR - SINGAPORE
