Travelling is about soaking yourself into the history and culture of your holiday.
A first in Singapore, we begin the historic journey at the National Museum of Singapore. Listen to interesting stories of Singapore's multi-racial and multi-cultural society happening way back from the 14th century!
Next, we bring you to the Singapore River Gallery. You will realise that all the shophouses are concentrated on just one Embankment of Boat Quay. Chinese legend has it that the Chinese immigrants set up home only on the south bank of the river, because to them, it resembled the concave belly of a carp. They believed this was where properity and wealth lay.
Thereafter, our journey continues with a bumboat ride at Raffles Landing Site. On January 28, 1819, Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles set the wheel of Singapore's comtemporary history in motion where he stepped ashore on the northern bank of the Singapore River. It was his foresight that resulted in Singapore's development, with the Singapore River as its lifeline. Today, while cruising the Singapore River, one will marvel at the extravagant contract between the richly-mellowed old architectures and strikingly skyscraper skyline. Admire magnificent colonial government buildings that reflect Singapore's colonial heritage.
