Genting Travel Overview:
Located at a lofty altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level and a handy distance of 50 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur, Genting is a cool respite from the capital city's sweltering equatorial heat, stuffy crowds and suffocating clouds of smog.
With its fairily perpetual mist, the invigoratingly fresh mountain air, the pleasantly mild climate with temperatures constantly staying around 16-23 celsius degree, the bountiful blessings of a 100-million-year-old forest, and the stunning vistas down into the valley, Genting stands out as the mellowest highland resort in all of Peninsular Malaysia.
Touting itself City of Entertainment, Genting is also the sanitized, value-priced family version of Las Vegas in Malaysia.
Home to Malaysia's one and only casino, the fastest and longest cable car in Southeast Asia, 2 theme parks, an 18-hole, par-71 golf course, a world-class entertainment center and concert hall, plus a string of international standard hotels and restaurants, Genting is ready to pamper every member of a family.

Genting is some 5 degrees cooler than the lowland, so warmer clothing, such as jeans jacket and pants, and light jumper, is advisable.
Specific dress codes are commonly observed in casinos and other formal occasions. Generally speaking, long sleeve Batik Shirt or long sleeve collar shirt with tie are fine in casinos and restaurants, while those wearing singlet, shorts and slippers are bound to be refused entry.
There are ample chances you get splashed while enjoying water slides in theme parks, so bring along extra clothes for changing. It's winterly cold in Snow World, dress accordingly.
The last but not least, comfortable shoes are a must!
