Busan Travel Overview:
An up-and-coming hotspot gradually appearing on the radar of global investors, world travelers and international convention organizers, and a venerably ancient city standing timelessly in the perfect harmony of mountains, rivers and the sea, Busan is, to some extent, the veritable microcosm of South Korea.
Though not as scintillating as the heavily wired Seoul, nor as stunning as the heavenly wild Jeju Island, Busan, the second largest city in South Korea, is by all accounts a smorgasbord of sights, sounds and smells that is ready to treat whoever happens to come down on this corner of the Land of Morning Calm to whatever takes their fancy with hearty helpings of feasts for the eyes, the mind and the belly.
Its history of human habitation dates from at least the early Neolithic times, its establishment as a city of any significance dates back to the Koryo dynasty, its name means "kettle mountain," a physical description referring to its geographical location on a mountain-girded calm bay where the Nakdong River empties into the Korea Strait on the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula, and its excellent natural deep-water harbor, gentle tides and milder weather have allowed it to grow into South Korea's primary seaport and gateway to the world, and the World's fifth largest container port that is Busan today.
Given the choice of chances to chill out on Haeundae Beach, the most popular beach in Korea, to soak up the atmosphere of a really happening city at the colossal Jagalchi Fish Market, the largest fish market in the country, to take a dip in Dongnae Hot Springs, the only hot spring in the nation to be found right in the middle of the city, and to eascape to the wooded hideways in the mountains to get back in touch with nature, history or legend, at the Beomeosa Temple, one of Korea's Great 5 Temples, and the Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, the largest walled mountain fortress in Korea, you would also create a hedonistic and holistic life outside Seoul and Juju, right here in Busan!

Average Annual Temperature: 14.3 to 15.8 degrees celsius;
Highest August Temperature: 32.2 to 34.5 degrees celsius;

3.What to wear
For business:
One of the Busan's claims to fame is the number one exhibition and convention city in Korea, after its successful hosting of such major interiantioanl events as the 1986 Asian Games, 1997 East Asian Games, 2002 Asian Games and the FIFA World Cup, ITU telecome Asia 2004, 2005 APEC Leader's Meeting,etc.
So chances are you may want to dress it up a bit for an academic seminar, corporate convention, professional conference, business meeting, or reception dinners of some kind, as well as the more clubby nightclubs and upscale restaurants in town.
Make sure that the style of your clothing would be acceptable for such formal occasions, which would be clearly stated on the invitation letter. If there is any doubt, it is always safer to err on the conservative side.
For sightseeing:
Spring (March-May)
Light long-sleeve shirts and slacks would be comfortable to wear during the day;
A light jacket, sweater or cardigan, would come in handy during cooler mornings and evenings;
Note: Besides the occasional wintry days before the cherry blossom season in late March, it is all very comfortable throughout the season.
Summer (June-August)
Generally, light loose-fitting short sleeved shirts and shorts would suffice most of the time;
When it gets unpleasantly hot and humid, sleeveless shirts and short pants are recommended;
Meawhile, sunscreens, sunglasses and hats are the rule for any outings during the day.
Carry a light jacket to cope with the drastic temp. difference between the air-conditioned indoors and the hot and humid outdoors, as well as the strong wind at the water's edge.
Note: The highest temperature, as well as the moswould most likely take place in the monsoon season at the end of July through mid-August, during which period of time, clothes of the knee-high style or water-resistant material that won't soak up the water around your ankles, plus an umbrella, can be very useful in monsoon rains and in the intense ultra-violet rays.
Autumn (September-November)
Summer attire can still be worn in early autumn, when it is always sunny and warm;
Long-sleeve shirts and slacks, plus a light jacket, sweater or cardigan, would be needed as the season rolls into November.
Winter (December-February)
It is dry and can feel very cold, but most days are milder than in the north;
For outings in midwinter between January and February, when it can drop below freezing point, layer up with thermal underwear, a woolen sweater, a down jacket or heavy coat, plus scarf and gloves.
