Bali Travel Overview:
While everyone has his or her own idea of paradise, there's a paradisaical Bali for tastes of all persuasions, vacationing families, newly-weds, honeymooners and solo adventures alike.
A delightfully heady mix of varied majestic landscape that's consisting of the brooding volcanic peaks surrounded by crystal clear volcanic lakes, dense tropical jungles and picturesque hillside sawah (rice paddies), and brilliant oceanfront resorts where white sandy beaches galore, world-class watersports abound, esoteric lulur spa treatments beckon, colorful coral reefs and playful fishes enthrall and sensational sunrises and sunsets alternate with the romantic moon-lit nights, plus the year-round pleasant climate, Bali boasts a story-book setting and serendipity heralded by a name that conjures up the soporific tranquillity as well as the seething diversity which are both part of the tropical temptation.
Just another piece of fragment of a brittle volcanic archipelago like the 18,110 others in Indonesia it may be, Bali has about it something very much atypical Indonesian that the casual eye will be just as easy put to spot the very obvious distinction.
As the only remaining Hindu enclave in all of Indonesian islands, Bali cradles a vast reservoir of the colourful and contagious cultural and spiritual wealth of an 'Island of The Gods.'
There is not a day in Bali when the godliness of the religious tradition and the well-beings of life are not venerated and celebrated, through the daily ritual practices and sesajen offerings of the Bali commoners, or the festivals, ceremonies and auspicious day hosted at one of the dazzling array of 12,500 pura (temples) by Brahmans (Hindu priests).
If all that's not enough of an invitation, let the genuine hospitality of the friendly Balinese speak for the je ne sais quoi kinda exotic and irresistible charisma.
Selamat Datang di Bali!

1.Casual Summer Attire
Given Bali's hot and humid tropical climate pattern and its average temperature that almost always hovers around 30 to 35 degrees Celsius all year round, you can rest assured that no winter woolies will be needed at all.
That said, lightweight casual wash 'n' wear clothing, like basic pants, shirts and shorts, everyday dresses and skirts, and functional sportswear and outdoor clothes, preferably made of cotton, linen or silk, are most comfortable for visitors to Bali. Viscose can be heavy, and other synthetic materials are just too thick.
2.Comfortable Walking Shoes
A pair of strong and comfortable supportive walking shoes with good traction is essential for your Bali trip, due to the markedly varied landscapes across the island and the lack of serviceable footpaths outside the major cities.
Flip-flop sandals are OK on the beach or by the pool, fancy high heels are for the the suicidals anywhere on the island.
3.Rain Gear
Despite the general yet relative distinction between the April-October dry season and November-March rainy season, rain shower and downpours can occur any time during the year in Bali.
Wet-weather gear, like a folding umbrella or a a light waterproof jacket, is a worthwhile accessory. Anything that won't guarantee better ventilation, like a non-breathing plastic/ polyester raincoat, is inadvisable.
4.Sun Protection
Unless you're intended to get a nice torching on your light fair skin by the end of the day, do not walk unprotected in the incredibly intense sun, especially in the middle of the day.
A strong sunscreen, a broad-rim hat, and a pair of sunglasses are recommended for that matter.
5. Altitude Variations
While you move inland from the hotter coastal areas, where swimwear, shorts or tops can be worn at the well-traveled beaches and resorts, you also move up to the cooler highland areas, where a noticeable degree of heat relief and modest clothing rule is expected, due to the higher altitude, denser shades, and the presence of more temples and places of worship, where sarongs, long pants or long skirts are needed to cover the legs and shoulders.
It can get chilly in mountain villages such as Bedugul, Candikuning and Kintamani, where a warm sweater or light jacket comes handy at times.
6.Occasion-wise
There is practically no need to don dressy attire in Bali.
Neither the Jacket and tie nor fancy dresses are required of any visitors anywhere on the island.
In reality, such formal clothing can be the exception rather than the rule.
If you feel the need dress it up a little for reception dinners of some kind, smart casual outfits, like a long sleeved plain or batik shirt, or a dress/ blouse &skirt, and a pair of long pants, can totally get you by.
7.Pack Light:
Arrive and travel with as few packed as possible.
A couple of T-shirts and shorts, a jumper, a lightweight dress or a basic shirt, one pair of lightweight long pants, plus underwear, socks and a pair of walking shoes will be enough.
Besides, a new summer wardrobe can be purchased cheaply on the island.
